Cuts what cuts ?

Despite the slow imperceptible movement of our pay recently some members of the Higher Education Sector seem to be doing better than others. According to the Guardian yesterday 950 university staff are paid more than the Prime Minister.






The top five vice-chancellors’ raises
1. Wendy Purcell, Plymouth – 20% (£283,504)
2. Chris Jenks, Brunel – 18% (£280,000)
3. Andrew Hamilton, Oxford – 17% (£382,000)
4. Shirley Pearce, Loughborough – 15% (£275,365)
5. Noel Lloyd, Aberystwyth – 13% (£208,000)
